KSG Hannover
More than just living: Promoting community, living neighbourhood.
KSG Hannover, a byword for quality housing and social commitment in the region, manages an impressive 8,000 flats. These are spread across 21 towns and municipalities and offer people modern, affordable living space. With an average rent of just €5.83 per square metre at the end of 2019, KSG shows that high quality housing does not have to be expensive. A survey of tenants confirms their satisfaction with the value for money and the management of the portfolio. In view of this positive response, KSG is planning to expand its portfolio to 10,000 flats by 2025.
Since it was founded on 30 March 1949, KSG has stood for solid, affordable housing. As a municipal housing company, it remains true to its mission of providing a home for all sections of the population - from young to old - in every situation. KSG does not pursue profit maximisation, but is committed to the people of Hanover. Its commitment ranges from urban development and the revitalisation of neighbourhoods to the promotion of neighbourhoods. A network of experts, tenants and volunteers creates communities worth living in.
KSG is also involved in educational institutions, supports local festivals and sponsors sports clubs such as Hannover 96 and TSV Hannover Burgdorf. KSG is also active in the field of climate and environmental protection, for example through its cooperation with the climate protection agency of the Hannover region and its participation in the "ÖKOPROFIT" programme. The aim of these initiatives is to conserve resources and reduce CO2 emissions. KSG contributes to a sustainable and liveable Hannover Region through a variety of partnerships and memberships.
