They took the plunge! In the 2021/22 school year, under the patronage of the Schöpflin Foundation, they, the Schöpflin School, took the big leap. Their journey began with a first class full of children eager to learn - a start that can be compared to the powerful lift-off of a rocket. Founding a school requires not only immense drive, but also courage, confidence and the right conditions to be creative. The Schöpflin Foundation, their strong supporter, made it possible for them to grow into a community alongside their own facilities such as the Villa, the Werkraum and FABRIC, as well as in the immediate vicinity of the Montessori Children's House. They developed a primary school that works across year groups, focusses on projects and cultivates a distinct artistic and cultural profile. Their rhythmic, integrated all-day programme three days a week embodies their educational vision in a special way. This is because they create spaces for varied learning - a challenge that the team always masters anew. A long school day requires just the right mix for head, hand and heart!
