AWO Bezirksverband Hannover
Where humanity connects.
The AWO is committed to a society based on social justice. It achieves this goal through the commitment of its members. Volunteers and honorary staff are at the heart of the organisation. They are passionately committed to social goals. The AWO promotes this commitment through projects, activities and campaigns. The local associations offer programmes for young and old - proof of the lively diversity of their commitment.
The AWO is there for everyone who needs support in everyday life - a broad target group that ranges from young to old. In the heart of Lower Saxony, the AWO Bezirksverband Hannover e. V. acts as a supporting pillar. With over 120 facilities and around 2,000 employees, it is a central social service provider. At the same time, the AWO, founded in 1919 by the labour movement, is a socio-political association with 15,500 members that campaigns for social issues.
The range of services offered by the AWO District Association of Hanover is presented. The content of the politically active association and its values are also placed centre stage. Important in all of this: humanity and togetherness.
