Norddeutscher Wissenschaftspreis
Five countries, one goal: to advance science.
The five northern German states of Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony are once again organising the North German Science Prize in 2024. This prize serves to promote and recognise cross-state collaborations that represent added value for science despite their increased effort.
The North German Science Prize was originally established by the Conference of North German Science Ministers. Since 2012, it has honoured outstanding scientific projects in various disciplines such as cold-water coral research, linguistics, medical technology and wind energy use. These projects are characterised by methodological diversity and scientific excellence. Anne Ruddat, a renowned artist, has designed and produced a special prize sculpture for the award.
The North German Science Award has been in existence since 2012, and the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture commissioned DbjE to create the website in CMS TYPO3.
